| Potsdam is the capital of Brandenburg, but also a suburb of Berlin. It is a beautiful little city on the edge of Berlin's extensive metro system, and well worth a visit. |

| In Potsdam is the famous palace "Sans souci," Frederick the Great's copy of Versailles. This is only one building of the complex, which is huge and impressive. Potsdam is also the location where Truman, Stalin and Churchill met shortly after the war to plan the future of Europe and Germany in a post-Nazi ear. Needless to say, they didn't agree on much. |
