I'm not sure if those buildings still look the same -- Leipzig has totally renovated its train station and city center, and I haven't been there since 1995. |

| In Leipzig this picture looks rather boring, but a close look at the house on the right shows the kind of decay that average buildings were suffering when communism collapsed. I don't think people in the West realized how badly that system had failed. |
